Casting Process
Welcoming your baby in this world is a beautiful experience and what better way to preserve this, than having their 3D castings made!
However, 3D castings can be made for any age and I thoroughly enjoy making designs for my clients to mark important milestones in their life - engagements, weddings, anniversaries or birthdays. Pretty much any moment that you would like to honour and preserve!
The process involves making a mould using a skin safe compound- alginate. Alginate is derieved from natural sources and used widely in body casting, dentistry etc. Its a safe and gentle process.
The end result is a beautiful life sized cast, with incredible skin texture details - from dimples to creases!
Each casting appointment takes around thirty to sixty minutes depending on the complexity of design. Once the moulds are made, it will take four to six weeks to make the final display with finished casts.

These handmade keepsakes are finished to a high standard keeping in mind their sentimental value.
Here are a few tips on how to look after these fragile items so you can cherish those memories for longer....
- Lay flat with glass side up during transportation
- Do not place other objects on the top
- Avoid direct sunlight or extreme high temperatures
- Do not keep in damp areas or use humidifiers nearby
- Wipe clean with a dry cloth to remove dust

Parenthood is a beautiful journey and the birth of my son helped me rediscover my love for art. So, in 2021, I took the leap and left behind my corporate career to set up Reminiscence with Jubilee - 3D Castings.

Terms & Conditions
Payments
Payments are accepted by BACS (bank transfer), cash and card payments. Booking deposit needs to be paid in advance of the casting appointment to secure the booking. The balance payment must be settled in one full payment, latest by the time of collection of final design.
Booking deposit is valid for three months from the date of payment. It is non-refundable for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice. Appointments booked can be rescheduled upto three times within the three month period from date of payment. Thereafter, the booking deposit will be lost and any subsequent bookings will require a new deposit.
The finished design will remain the property of Reminiscence with Jubilee - 3D Castings until full payment is received.
Gift Vouchers
Each gift voucher will have the name of the person/family it is from and a unique redemption code, You will need to quote these at the time of booking your casting appointment. Vouchers are valid for twelve months from time of purchase. Unused or out of date gift vouchers are non-refundable.
Delivery of work
Clients will be kept informed of the progress of work at key stages and asked to approve designs where necessary. Once approved by client, design will be completed. Making changes thereafter is not recommended as this may damage the finishing/ quality of the final product.
Copyright of the final design as well as any of its images or videos used in publicity or marketing material continues to remain the property of Reminiscence with Jubilee - 3D Castings at all times unless otherwise negotiated at the time of booking/payment.
Although we will always endeavor to meet requested delivery dates by reasonable means, Reminiscence with Jubilee - 3D Castings cannot be held liable for any delays caused by illnesses, acts of God or other unavoidable events or crises. Please ensure your contact details provided at the time of booking are up to date.
Uncollected commissions
Clients will be informed in writing when their design is ready for collection. We will hold the design for up to two weeks thereafter. In case, you are unable to collect during this time, please let us know so we can store the design appropriately. After the two weeks following notification, a storage charge of £5 per day will be incurred by the client until collection. Designs not collected for one year from the date of notification (and not fully paid for including storage charges) will become sole property of Reminiscence with Jubilee - 3D Castings thereafter.
Cancellations or returns
For bespoke commissions, cancellation at any stage will result in the client forfeiting their deposit to cover material expenses and artist’s time. Depending on how much work has been done on the piece, further costs may be incurred by the client. We do spend long hours to ensure each design is finished to high standards. If, for some reason, you are not satisfied with your commission, please let us know within 48 hours of collecting the finished design.
